Ceramic blasting beads are a non-ferrous reusable blasting media with spherical particles. This blasting media is extremely resistant, and is used above all in applications in which a certain reproducible surface roughness has to be achieved. Ceramic beads are used mainly in the production of foodstuffs machinery and in the medical field. They represent an alternative to glass beads, with a useful life which is 8-15 times longer, depending on the application, although this “hightech” blasting media is extremely expensive, and should therefore only be used in applications without blasting media loss.
