We have extensive experience in the planning, construction and installation of batch chargers. It is virtually part of our DNA.

65 years ago, Alfred Zippe Senior developed the first fully-automatic batch charger for the glass industry. This is when it all started and since then we have been manufacturing our chargers ourselves in Wertheim. Many years' experience and high production quality are reflected in many details of our machines.

 

CHARGERS FOR CONTAINER GLASS

In the container glass industry in particular, it is important to be able to charge large fractions of cullet. Zippe has here the right charger for every doghouse. Especially for oxy-fuel furnaces, it is important that the doghouse is completely sealed. Our VIBROTUBE® charger is perfectly suited for this for example.

CHARGERS FOR FLAT GLASS

We mainly deal with large doghouse widths in the flat glass sector. Here we create a tailor-made charger system for every doghouse width. Our philosophy is to feed the furnace with 4, 6 or 8 machines - this has the following benefits:

• Better adjustment capability by adjusting the different stroke lengths, speeds and layer thicknesses on the machines
• High level of reliability because if one machine fails, the full furnace capacity can be assumed by the other machines
• Smaller machines are easier to handle and are more flexible. The maintenance overhead is limited to a minimum
• The fill volume of the furnace silo is freely selectable depending on the height available

 

• BATCH CHARGER FLOAT GLASS

  • The deployment of several machines in one doghouse means that the batch flow can be controlled individually in terms of direction and quantity. This means optimal allocation of the melt surface is possible.

  •  ZIPPE flat glass batch chargers can be designed for all doghouse widths.

  •  Freely selectable fill volume of the furnace silo depending on the height available. Every individual machine can be retracted quickly in an emergency. The time overhead is only about 20 minutes for trained personnel.

  •  The stroke length is continuously variable from 0 to 250 mm. The speed of the chute can be set separately.
