MOTIM had developed a new αβ-type fused cast refractory material and put it on the market under the trade name of KORVISIT AB in 1999. Due to its superior corrosion resistance and low blister potential this is an ideal product for the lower temperature zones of the glass melting furnaces.

Recommended fields of application:

• side walls
• bottom paving of working ends
• feeder channel
• certain parts of the superstructures
• drawing chambers of sheet glass furnaces

KORVISIT AB fused cast refractory blocks are manufactured by the following casting methods:

• regular cast (N)
• void free special shapes (KLS)
• void free tiles (KLP)
